If you are in the RSGB you might have read the recent article in Radcom on so called Network Radios and describing some of the apps that can be installed on them (or on your phone or PC).

This month John, G4OTJ, discussed this relatively new form of push to talk communication and had a practical look at the Inrico T320 “Radio”. Naturally the question of whether this is really Amateur Radio will come up, just as it did with DMR, FM repeaters, satellites, digital modes and even SSB. However, this was reasonably resolved by saying that it was just for fun, and it is experimenting with radio systems, which is what amateur radio is all about, even though in this case it isn’t on the amateur bands.
